a misspelling of renovate.

my friend q's native language is not english. this will become relevant shortly.

q and i share the dream of renovating a school bus and road tripping it out for a couple of months like the nomadic hippies we are deep within. realistically, college, uni, jobs, careers, loved ones, things will get in the way. most likely. i dont know at all if this dream will come to pass, but even the idea of it has kept the both of us afloat. just the idea is enough for now, to get through tests and teachers that assign homework over the holiday, theatre shows where someone said the name of the scottish play and low and behold everything that could possibly go wrong is going wrong, friendships and other relationships that don't end well, don't begin well, were never well, or our tumoltuous personal lives. when it was first brought up, q spelt it as "reinovate." after hearing about "reinovating" a school bus a couple too many times, i asked about it. q was confused, and asked what was wrong with it. reinovate, to refurbish or remake, to re-innovate. i corrected the spelling to "renovate" and q asked what the difference between the two spellings were. i pointed out the extra i. q asked why "renovate" was correct when, after all, reinovate makes more sense, and has more meaning behind it. i could not answer. thusly, we use the word reinovate now. it more accurately captures what we're trying to do with this dreams anyways. we don't intend to run away, or run to, we intend to run.
